This writing’s objective
Background
Globally we are at 5 critical crossroads:- technology, economically, social /politically , defense and know-how which will set the stage for global leadership.
Future global leaders will be those countries that utilize “Future Directed Strategies” .
The Firefly Innovations is at the point to deploy the first future directed initiative “Head-on”; designed with future directed methodologies. The “Head-on” objective is to reduce the impact of wildfire by up to 80%.
The underlying methodologies can be applied to many areas to improve outcomes, from defense, economic growth and even social areas such as philanthropy.
This writing’s objective is to start a process that will unlock:-
- A new supportive initiative that will result in the
- Clear enactment of strategies for global leadership that will:-
Develop future direct leadership, change the negative voters shift to:-
- Value based with
- strong future directed visions and actions for
- growth and life quality
To serve as the foundation for the next two hundred years
It is foreseen that the underlying future directed methodologies will have:-
- a major positive impact for countries that utilize it. The impact will be in many areas, such as defense, economic growth, even social programs such as philanthropy and many more areas.
- It is seen as one of the big future differentiating tools that will have a major impact on future global leadership.
This process will also impact on most of the work of the Hudson Institute from:-
Prosperity / philanthropy, defense and terrorism, Freedom of Religion, The Future of Space, Economy, International relations, trade including intellectual property
Introduction and why this is important?
The future global leaders are already in the making.
Where will the USA be?
A long overdue book “The Hundred Year Marathon” was recently published. The book is a work of strategic importance by Mr. Michael Pillsbury Senior Fellow & Director of the Center for Chinese Strategy of the Hudson Institute.
In his book Mr. Pillsbury discusses a strategy of China to overtake America as global leader.
The publication of the book was followed with a debate with the question:-
“Was America duped by China?”
This question requires serious examination, because it implies that the USA strategies did not stand the test of time.
This is the reality
The United States cannot afford another hundred year question.
Add to it that Russia and China are not the primary challenges faced by the USA
The top three primary challenges of the USA & West are:-
1) The ideological undercurrent and shift in voters towards socialist with communist overtures.
2) Leadership
(Weather you are for or against the President) President Trump’s entry into politics started to reverse years of declining Western leadership but there needs to be a major advancement.
3) A host of technology and know-how challenges
This is important:- This is about unlocking opportunities
Although we highlight the negative aspect of the “Shift in voter ranks”
This total initiative is about opportunities,
building a better future for the United States, the West and all people globally
This is the key:-
Without voter support there simply will be no long term space program, funding for defense and the net result could be a total decline.
Future global leaders will be countries that apply
Comprehensive integrated “Future Directed Strategies”
Why is the above so important?

Simply because western institutions and values are under-performing and

losing the hearts & minds of voters to cheap alternatives

Without voter support

There will be no:- Funding
-
There will be no:- US long-term space program
-
There will be no:- secure defense, freedom of religion and
-
the rule of law will fall
The question is not whether you are for or against President Trump’s strategies.
He’s election and his unorthodox style has directly started to re direct the systematic decline in Western leadership.
The gap between the current leadership level and what is possible is so big
That the countries that first start to deploy future directed strategies will achieve
An unassailable lead
Building the future started in 1870
& throughout is supported via the timeline of the underlying America Presidents
but few people pay attention or understand why this timeline is the foundation for the future;-
The road-ahead
Why we have to redefine and manage challenges and opportunities differently on a macro level, implying a strategic level?
- We have today more technology, more insight than ever before in history,
- The opportunities today are bigger than ever before,
- At the same time the challenges are enormous.
But the total progress we make whether it is seeking solutions or tapping into opportunities are:-
-
well below a reasonable level.
- Because in solutions and tapping into opportunities we have become “instant” societies. Everything has to be “Instant”. Instant coffee, just add hot water.
- To illustrate this point, using one example:- Wildfires. With the current increase in wildfires, some people will say “early burning” that is the answer. The truth is, early burning is only one option, that on it’s own have many other factors that need to be considered.
If we want to have better solutions for challenges and make better use of opportunities,
- We will have to apply new methodologies, new thinking
- in short reach a new level of how we manage our world.
The key words in future will be:-
- Comprehensive, collaborative, integrated, future directed strategies and management
- Bringing humanity and know-how together
The future global leaders will be
countries that apply:-
Future directed, comprehensive, integrated strategies and solutions
What is a achievable
Imagine and think about this:-
If you can reduce the cost of the US space program by 50%.
It will mean; that you can reach twice as far into space or double the positive impact of a space program.
Imagine you can double the impact of every prosperity and philanthropic program.
It will mean; that you can double the living standard of millions of people. From a US perspective this will not only create goodwill but open new markets and new economic growth.
Imagine you can increase the combat efficiency of the defense force by 30%.
It will mean that in the event of conflict, conflicts will be shorter plus thousands of lives will be saved and the USA will be more secure.
Imagine you can improve commerce and trade efficiency by 40%.
It will mean that the U.S. debt can be reduced by over 50%
Imagine you can build new relations via Christianity with non Christians.
It will mean; more secure religious freedom and support for Christians
Imagine you can redirect conversations of radical ideologies
It will mean; a safer world and reduced terror.
All of this is achievable, but:-
- To achieve this there has to be:-
- A different framework in which we do things.
- There needs to be a new alignment of goals and targets.
- In short there has to be a new level of thinking.
- A new level of management
In short:-
- A integrated comprehensive future directed approach
The Firefly Innovations developed new future directed methodologies as part of our “Head-on” wildfire initiative.
“Head-on” is the first future directed initiative that is designed to reduce the impact of wildfire by up to 80% .
These future directed methodologies will be made available to those members of the Hudson Institute that support the “Head-on” initiative.
